The differences between Q235 and 45#Steel

1. Carbon content: 45# steel is medium carbon steel, carbon content is Forty-five parts per ten thousand, so it has its name, its mechanical properties, cutting performance is good, poor welding performance.Q235 is low carbon steel, carbon content less than Twenty per ten thousand, good welding performance, good plasticity.

2. Q in Q235 means yield strength, and 235 means yield strength in kilograms per square meter. This is a kind of steel widely used, usually can hear someone called dirty steel, such as ordinary steel pipe material is basically Q235.General do profile, bar, etc., formerly called A3 steel.

3. 45# is medium carbon steel, quenching performance is not good, 45# steel can be hardened to HRC42~46. 45# steel is widely used in mechanical manufacturing, the mechanical properties of this steel is very good, its hardness is suitable for shaft parts, bolts, couplings and other parts. However, many bolts belong to low carbon alloy steel, according to the engineering details to choose the material. 45# steel needs surface hardness and wants to give play to the superior mechanical properties of 45 steel, it is often carburized and hardened on the surface of 45# steel so that the required surface hardness can be obtained.
